Sustainable development is a key element of the Obolon Corporation’s strategy. It allows the company to implement its corporate ambitions and fully develop each of its CSR areas: employee development, environment protection, promotion of sports, and support of the local communities.
Production
Producing beverages with a high level of quality and safety is the basis for the long-term development of the Obolon Corporation. Stability of production processes and guaranteed quality and safety of its beverages ensure that the company achieves its goals on the way to sustainability.
Environment
Climate change, resource depletion, and energy dependence are the challenges of the 21st century for individuals as well as for large manufacturers. Reduction of environmental impact and conservation of nature are priorities for Obolon as the largest Ukrainian beverage producer.
Economics
Obolon makes both a direct and an indirect impact on the economy of the country as a whole and specific regions where its facilities are located through job creation, paying taxes to the local and state budgets, development of related industries, and support of the social culture.
Society
Adhering to the principles of sustainable development, Obolon views the participation in the social life of the regions where its facilities are located as an important component of developing Ukrainian society as well as its own business.

Promotion of Sports

11 professional football coaches teach young pupils of Zmina the art of the game.

In the 1990s, Obolon began supporting the  Zmina Olympic Reserve Sports School for Children and Youth.

  • 2013 The sports school had 735 trainees aged 6 to 18.
  • 2014 Zmina and Zmina-Obolon teams represented the school at a football championship.

  • 1997 Zmina Olympic Reserve Sports School for Children and Young People was established.
  • 1986 The school received its own stadium.
  • 1992 The Obolon-Zmina soccer club was founded at the sports school.
    Today, it is a club with a rich football history, participating in the National Championship of Ukraine under the name of "Obolon-Brovar." The first team of the club includes Zmina alumni.

  • 1996 Obolon has been and still is the club's permanent sponsor.
  • 2009 Obolon sponsored twice the national football championships of Ukraine.

The participation of Obolon-Brovar Football Club in the football championship of Ukraine motivates the youth and the fans to do sports as it is a role model for the trainees of the Zmina Sports School.

The increasing number of the football teams trained at the school shows that the parents eagerly choose Zmina School for their children.

Today, serious efforts are being made to encourage children for physical training and sports and a healthy lifestyle.

The Obolon-Brovar Football Club has a modern stadium, Obolon Arena, equipped with:

  • a field heating system;
  • 1,200 lux lighting towers;
  • a press centre.

  • 2002 This is the year when the Obolon Arena sports stadium was built.

 

  • 2012 The stadium had a status of the European Championship training field. 

 

Obolon Arena also hosts sports and public events for the employees of the Obolon Corporation.

Schoolchildren sector (sector No. 2) was created for young football fans at Obolon-Arena, stands of which are booked for the pupils of Kyiv schools. Children can not only support their favourite team with their friends but also win presents from Obolon-Brovar FC.  

Since 2013, Obolon has been supporting big international sports events.

  • The early 2000s boosted the development of corporate volunteering at the Obolon Corporation facilities.The donorship movement in the company, initiated by the employees, has been growing for over 14 years.Each year new employees join the regular donors and continue the noble tradition in the company.
